It’s scorching hot this summer and we seem to need more than the air con to keep us cool. So, we got together with Nithya Raman, our dear friend and budding independent chef and caterer (Nithya catered our first DIY event with delicious red velvet cupcakes and more, read about it here) who created a special summer drink just for ideyna.
It’s easy breezy to make yourself and has some our favourite fresh ingredients. So, here is our recipe for the perfect, refreshing, handmade, homemade summer drink.
Rosemary Infused Cucumber Lemonade
Recipe: Serves 4
3 large cucumbers peeled and rougly chopped
1 1/2 tbsp of chopped rosemary
3 to 4 tbsp of agave syrup (depending on taste)
1/2 cup of lemon juice
1 1/2 cups of water
Sliced cucumbers and rosemary sprigs for garnish
Process cucumbers and chopped rosemary in a food processor/ blender. Strain the puree through a seive, discarding some of the pulp. Add the syrup, lemon juice and water.
Fill a tall class with ice cubes, and pour the drink over. Add sliced cucumber pieces and rosemary sprigs as garnish.
Looks delicious non? And tastes as good too, we promise!
